GreenSync Inc. helps the public be better stewards of the natural environment. The nonprofit organization focuses on educational communications, engaging many partners in its projects.
Why the name?
Green conveys nature. Synchronize (sync) means to have two or more things in harmony with each other. The vision is that people will come to love where they live. By learning about how the natural environment functions, they can then take actions and make decisions to do less harm.
We are far removed from how things work and the impact we have on the environment. The impact is magnified by Increases in the human population — permanent residents, seasonal residents and visitors — because Florida’s environment is not familiar, by changes in the climate and by many other factors.
